Stats: 18.38km, 1hr 32 mins. Kris was in his element at breakfast in the hotel as we were the only guests and we had the buffet to ourselves. We also took a huge doggy bag including 3 eggs which we believed to be hard boiled but later found out that they were raw! We began our cycling day climbing to 2,293m in Julier Pass. There were 2 sets of fingers in the road which were very steep and had snow either side. The air was thin and the views were incredible. We made it to the top and treated ourselves to a hot chocolate by a frozen lake. Kris did a head stand in the snow with a coach load of German tourists onlooking. We descended for 10km to Silvaplana which was freezing cold. Mum skillfully managed to video us while driving the windy roads. Silvaplana is a small village surrounded by a huge lake encapsulated by Alps all around. We set up camp in the rain and took a long stroll around the lake.
